Written translation is the process of transforming a source text to the target text (translation). It makes use of various methods, techniques, and methods of translation, the choice of which is determined by the translator taking into account all the parameters and conditions of the translation process.
Modern translation companies widely use such translation technology as Translation Memory software. Translation memory (TM) is a database where translation fragments are stored that can later be used when translating similar texts, which significantly reduces the translation time, and, most importantly, saves the client money. Not all companies make this known to their clients, trying to get more money from them.

How translation memory technology works
A separate translation database is created for each client. Upon receipt of a translation order, the text is first analyzed for repetitions with the existing database and the price is calculated taking into account the statistics obtained. The more repetitions with TM, the faster the documents are translated and the less the client pays. In the process, all parties benefit.
Clients often confuse the translation memory system with conventional machine translation. The difference is that ordinary machine translation is performed without direct human involvement, while the use of the TM system at our company involves the machine translation, including IA algorithm, plus the work of a translator, editor and proofreader of the project.
